BURNOPFIELD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP - NEIGHBOURHOOD FORUM LAUNCH EVENT

Burnopfield Community Partnership with assistance from Hugh Massey Architects, Planning & Landscape Consultants have organised a launch event at Burnopfield Primary School on Sunday 26th April 2015 between 1.00 - 3.00pm to help everyone who lives or works in Burnopfield to come together and learn about creating a Neighbourhood Forum.

This is an innovative way of putting communities at the forefront of local planning choices.

The neighbourhood planning process is a way by which all parts of the community can influence the future development of their community and make real choices about their neighbourhood.

A major part of this process is the need for effective community engagement as an essential part of producing a realistic plan which has a sense of community ownership.

Free training on domestic abuse awareness

Following the launch of Durham Constabulary’s ‘SorrysNotEnough’ campaign in March we have sent letters to companies in the county offering free training on domestic abuse awareness.

So far the response to the campaign, aimed at raising awareness of domestic abuse in the workplace, has been positive but we are always looking at ways we can improve that success.

If you know of a company, or work for one, that you feel would benefit from this training, please contact Holly Dobson for further information via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
