Evermor Solutions have teamed up with Disability North and Sunderland Royal Society for the Blind to host a number of open days as part of Adult Learners Week which is being held from 15th to 19th June.
Come along to Durham Clayport Library, 8 Millennium Place, Durham, DH1 1WA on Friday 19 June between 10.00am and 3.00pm.

Invitation to ‘Family Fun – Car Boot Event’ Fund Raising Opportunity

Does your group need to raise funds? If so, why not take this opportunity to come along to the Family Fun – Car Boot event to raise funds and showcase your activities to the wider community. Plus 2 lucky groups may be eligible for FREE pitches (See below).
Following on from the successful inaugural Family Fun - Car Boot Event, Groundwork NE & Cumbria has agreed to stallholder’s and visitor’s requests to host further events. In addition to this being a fund raising event for groups it is also an opportunity for families to come along and take advantage of the fabulous setting, have a picnic and even feed the resident ducks as well as grabbing some delightful products, gifts and bargains!
The event is open to a wide range of groups and individuals with stalls including tombola, raffles, local crafters, cake stalls, jam/chutney producers as well as those just wanting to have a spring clear-out. We are not promoting the event for professional car boot traders.
The events will be held at Groundwork NE & Cumbria’s prestigious venue ‘The Greenhouse’ which has excellent facilities including in-house catering, toilets and children’s activities, the venue also benefits from hard stand parking so there will be no soggy pitches should there be a damp run up to the event, and if necessary tables can be set up inside.
We envisage a maximum of 50 pitches being available but due to interest already expressed we recommend reserving your spot by telephoning 01207 524800.
Dates: 1st Saturday of June, July, August, September and October
Cost: Cars £7 – Car & Trailer £10 (NO deposit necessary)
FREE PTICHES: 2 FREE pitches will be available to community groups/schools who are able to provide interactive activity for visitors – Example: Scouts/Cubs/Guides groups could promote have a go activities which they do at their sessions OR Judo/Gymnastic clubs could bring their mats and do demonstrations – the possibilities are endless…..

Red Kite Trail Run

A Red Kite trail run will take place on Sunday 5th July at 10am. Starting from Central-park on A692
This is an 8 mile off road trail race taking place in the beautiful Derwent Valley.
Marshalled and fully marked. Ideal for novices as well as experienced runners. Maps available.
Starting from Dipton Community Centre. DH9 9DR
Refreshments provided/included.
Toilets available.
