Would you like to be a Flood Warden for the Environment Agency?

This year saw the wettest February on record, Storms Ciara & Dennis brought a huge amount of rainfall which engulfed the UK. Changing weather patterns mean these storms could increase.

This year has seen communities come together to support each other through many emergencies and we would love this to continue.

Flooding claims lives and ruins livelihoods.

We are currently recruiting flood wardens in many areas across Durham & Darlington to be key points of contact during a crisis.

Our volunteers are integral to response. They form our eyes and ears on the ground, they give advice to residents and inform us of local impacts.
