Grant Funding Deadline Approaching!

The deadline for applications linked to our Older Persons Social Isolation Fund (OPSIF) is fast approaching!

The Derwent Valley Partnership (DVP) currently has a budget of £28,332 available to help reduce the social isolation of some of its older residents.

We are asking organisations to come forward with project ideas that aim to improve outcomes for older people who are socially isolated, encouraging their participation in activities that provide opportunities for them to contribute positively to their local communities. For the purposes of this fund, an older person is someone over the age of 50 years.

Projects must take place in the Derwent Valley Partnership area and satisfy the criteria outlined in the ‘Guide to the AAP Older Persons Social Isolation Fund (OPSIF) 2019/20’.

Please note that only not for profit organisations are eligible to receive a grant from us and any prospective projects should have a start date no earlier than 30th March 2020 to allow time for applications to go through our full funding process.

The minimum grant that can be applied for is: £5,000, there is currently no upper limit. Applications that have an element of match funding or ‘in-kind’ support will be viewed favourably.

The closing date for completed applications is 5:00pm on Friday 13th December 2019. We aim to notify all applicants of the outcome of their application by Friday 31st January 2020.
