Environmental Improvement Grant
Local community groups in the Derwent Valley AAP area can apply for an Environmental Improvement grant for their village/community.
One of the partnership's priorities for this coming year is ‘Environment’ and this fund will look to support those communities and volunteers who wish to help improve the areas where they live, yet may not have the full resources to do so. We know many groups and individuals are undertaking fantastic work and making a real difference in their local villages and neighbourhoods and we hope this funding will seek to support groups in helping them achieve those improvements.
Up to £10,000 is available (up to £2,000 per group/application) for eligible local voluntary and community groups and organisations who wish to undertake a scheme to improve their local environment within the Derwent Valley Partnership (DVP) area.
It is likely that not all applications will be supported given the potential demand on the funding.
The funding must be used on ‘capital items’ such as large planters/tubs, perhaps a seat, stone features etc things which will last for some years as part of a wider improvement scheme.
