Consultation on the cost of leisure centres
Have your say on how to improve access to leisure centres for low income households.
Being active and taking part in physical activities is important to health and wellbeing.
During the summer we will be talking to children, young people and families as well as older people to find out whether things like cost, equipment, suitable clothing, transport or family budget has an impact on if, and how often, they are able to attend centres and get involved in the activities on offer.

Durham Police and Crime Commissioner Public Accountability meeting
The focus of this meeting will be about the proposed centralisation of custody in Spennymoor and members of the public are being asked to submit questions, that can be raised at the meeting.

Gambling Act consultation
The Gambling Act 2005 statement of principles which was introduced in 2019 is now due for review.
Durham County Council is asking residents in County Durham to tell us of any changes or additions they feel should be made to the current statement. We are also hoping for residents to highlight any issues with gambling premises in their locality which they feel should be included too.
The consultation ends at 5pm, Sunday 1 August 2021.

Call it Out survey
A survey to gather the views of women and girls on personal safety in County Durham and Darlington has been launched by the police.
‘Call it Out’ seeks to listen to the concerns and lived experiences of women and girls across the force area and understand how safe they feel.
Durham Constabulary will use the results of the survey to tackle safety concerns by working with the Office of the Durham Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner, Durham County Council and Darlington Borough Council.
