Leadgate Task Force

A new active community group based in Leadgate has been created to help tackle local environmental issues in the village such as fly tipping, littering and grot spots. The group undertake litter picks and planting activities and report issues to Durham County Council so these can be addressed.

In the future, the group will also be organising local events to bring the community together and are currently discussing joint projects with communities in neighbouring villages.
