County Durham Fulfilling Lives (Part 5) Market Stall Information Event & County Durham Adults Learning Disabilities Engagement Forum

This is the fifth free informal market stall networking event to be held, bringing people with learning disabilities, their carer’s and agencies together to exchange information.

The event will be held on Tuesday 31st May 2016 at New College Durham between 10am – 4pm.

People who have learning disabilities and their carers that live in County Durham will have an opportunity to network, stay connected and to get up to date information on services available to them. The event is to promote better lives for people who have learning disabilities.

The day will also see the fourth meeting of the County Durham Adults Learning Disability Engagement Forum, where carers are encouraged to attend as well as those with a learning disability to take part in discussions around a number of themes. The day will include a variety of informal engagement methods tailored for people with learning disabilities to help make it clearer what contributes towards leading a fulfilled life.

There will also be a wide range of stalls including activities in the community, health, education, sports and leisure including the new carer’s zone. There will be interactive games and a free prize draw for people who attend the day. This is a free event, refreshments will be provided plus a couple of tasty food stalls will be there for you to purchase a bite to eat.

We encourage people with learning disabilities and their carers from across County Durham to attend this very important event.
